Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association President, Robert Sadee says the trail is designed to improve access and safety for local school children. “This trail linking the hamlet to the school has received great support from the community, as it takes the school children off the highway, and provides a safe environment for them to get to and from school,” explains Sadee. “It will be a great contribution to the community.”

The Banded Peak Trail is part of the conceptual plan for a trail network, as laid out in the ASP. Read more about trails in Bragg Creek or read the part of the Area Structure Plan dealing with trails.

The association has already received strong support from the community, with the successful building of the Centennial trail. One of our fund raising events is the Bragg Creek Days “Fun Run”. We would like to talk to potential donors about an endowment or donation on behalf of your family or your company that will provide a lasting legacy for the Bragg Creek Community.

We would like to make the trails in West Bragg Creek, Kananaskis into all-season trails

Thanks to those who provided comments on this proposal during the fall of 2009. We are currently preparing a report on the comments received.

Volunteer Time is Worth Money Too!

Volunteers who donate their time, energy and expertise are the backbone of the GBCTA. It is hard to put an actual value on their contributions because the organization could not exist without them.
