BRAGG CREEK DAYS RUN A SUCCESS!
The weather gods looked favourably upon the 65 runners that came out on July 20th for the Annual Bragg Creek Days Fun Run. Friday’s hail storm was a distant memory as Pete McBreen of Cochrane crossed the 3 km finish line in a time of 12:26. Donna Gibb, also of Cochrane, won the Female Over 18 category with a time of 14:35. Local runner Will Morison and Jack Newman of Calgary tied for first in the Male Under 18 category at 13:28. The Under 18 Females were led by Molly Strum of Bragg Creek at 15:13.
Competition in the 10 km race was also intense. John Markin of Calgary was the overall winner at 44:09, followed closely by Bragg Creek resident Tania Crane-Hanna at 45:24. This race also had a tie in the Male Under 18 category: local runners Brennan Cameron and Justin Kelly finished in 53:12. For the second consecutive year, there were no females in the Under 18 category.

Proceeds from Sunday’s Fun Run were directed to the Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association for future trail building projects. See you next year!
