Centennial Pathway Opening Ceremony, Oct. 23, 2005

The enthusiastic crowd and warm temperature made for a very pleasant afternoon as the Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association (GBCTA) unveiled the Centennial Pathway on October 23rd. More than 100 local residents and guests gathered to the sound of drummers near the Old Trading Post. Robert Sadee, President of the GBCTA, welcomed everyone then introduced our MLA Dr. Ted Morton and Councillor Bob Everett. After cake and refreshments, many people walked the trail for the first time.

For those of you who couldn’t attend our ceremony, we’d like to take one more opportunity to thank our sponsors and the many volunteers who helped make this dream become a reality:

The sun and warmth brought out a crowd of trail enthusiasts, eager to celebrate the opening of the pathway that links the Provincial Park to the hamlet of Bragg Creek.

Robert, Ted, Peggy Paulson, Kelly Wood and Betty Anne Graves. Robert and Kelly were instrumental in forming the Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association. Peggy works on communications for us. Betty Anne is the President of Alberta Trail-Net.
